Make your own…

November 16, 2010

…. Circle scarf! I was at America Apparel a few weeks ago and saw these extremely overpriced circle scarves ($28 and $32)…

For those of you unfamiliar it’s just a scarf that’s attached at both ends (a circle if you will) that you wrap around your neck several times. I kind of have a love hate relationship with American Apparel — I love the idea of most of the clothes, but generally think a lot of it is just overpriced pieces of fabric. Haha. I did find an outlet store in Jacksonville which has significantly lower prices.

So I happened to have several yards of hot pink jersey fabric (another random purchase left over from high school). I cut about a yard of it and sewed the edges together. (So simple it didn’t need photos)

Voila —

I might make another one out of a heavier, warmer material.

Moral: buy fabric and make your own circle scarf.
