giving thanks.

November 29, 2010

I can’t believe it’s Monday — I feel like the Thanksgiving break flew by! This was my very first Thanksgiving spent away from my family… I had this realization Thanksgiving morning and was a bit shocked. I still enjoyed a successful Thanksgiving none-the-less! The boyfriend and I spent a good couple of days in Jacksonville and now we’re on to finals weeks.

We did get to see Harry Potter 7, Part 1! SO good — I just can’t get over how much older they get everytime. :)

We ate Thanksgiving dinner with our neighbors Jeff and Ciarra that we lived by last year. The delicious, food coma inducing meal included turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, green beans, sweet potato casserole, rolls and my cheesy spinach casserole. Oh and homemade pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream.

On Black Friday we ventured out to just two places… one of those was Petsmart where we Barber got kitten a little sweater jacket… we figured it was a bit too small when she had trouble standing up while wearing it. She did humor us by rolling around on the floor for a minute though. Such a good kitten. :)

I drove back to Tally early Saturday morning so I could head to a tailgate before the Florida State vs. University of Florida showdown. FSU won 31-7 and all is right in the world. We apparently haven’t beaten them for the past 6 years so it was kind of a big deal.

You can check out a few videos I took from the game right here….

The theme of this week — studying for finals. 2 more weeks!
