feels like christmas.
So, we live in an apartment building that kinda looks like one of those motels with all the doors on the outside. We live right in the middle on the third floor and the stairs are on either end (are you getting all this?). One lone chair lives outside our door on the little walkway. We just assume it’s safe because being on the third floor kinda cuts down on traffic. Really it moved outside out of necessity but every once in awhile one of us sits out there and overlooks our parking lot (and the downtown skyline, what, what!) and contemplates the day ahead.
As I studied for my midterm this morning Johnlawyer did just that whilst eating his oatmeal. He opened the door and the overcast, chilly air poured in at the same time as Kitten sprinted out (she loves the walkway). And you know what? It was like Christmas.
I said, “Oh my gosh, it feels like Christmas out there.”
To which Johnlawyer replied, “Yeah it does. It’s awesome!”
And guess what?! Lowe’s, they’re getting their Christmas trees tomorrow. Since we will be heading back to Missouri well before Christmas I think it’s totally acceptable to put up a tree before Thanksgiving in order to maximize our enjoyment.
We just might get a tree tomorrow. And we just might have to set something else on the porch. Ooooo I’m excited.
And with Christmas trees come presents! We’re having a crafty little evening and I’ve already got some ideas. Who else is buying/making their friends and family eco-friendly, sustainable and green presents this year? Don’t worry, I’ll share.
And so you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time reading all this here’s some bonus pictures of my cat! Lucky ducks!
